CV tips
• CV's do not need to be just 2 pages; in fact most Technical CV's will need to be longer (but try and keep it to 4 pages maximum).
• Write your CV in reverse chronological order (start with today and work backwards).
• Ensure that the CV is relevant to the position you are applying for.
• Ensure that the Font Size is readable
(Arial Size 11 is popular).
• Keep the format simple, keeping all information relevant.
• Use a skills matrix to highlight your main technical skills including the number of years you have worked with each technology.
• Use your personal statement to outline your objectives, technical skills and soft skills.
• Use spell check and ensure your CV has been proof read.
• Save the document as Rich Text Format.
• Highlight areas of responsibility and outline your key achievements.
• List your exact duties within each position, as the Job Title alone is not enough
